Signs It's Time for a New Sink

Kitchen and bathroom sinks see a lot of wear and tear.  How many times do you turn your sink on and off throughout the day?

Here are a few signs your sink is due for a replacement.

  • Outdated, Faulty Fixtures - If it's difficult to clean the hardware on your sink, it might be time to consider an upgrade.  Older hardware can look dated and be difficult to use.  If metal chips off and gets caught in your water stream, it could be dangerous to your health too.
  • Leaks - If you are experiencing obvious plumbing issues like a leaky faucet or slow draining water, consider replacing your sink.  While these issues can be corrected, it might be a convenient time to give your sink an overhaul.
  • Low Water Pressure - Low water pressure could be a sign that your plumbing pipes are corroded.  Overtime, galvanized steel pipes degrade and their diameter narrows.  This makes it difficult for water to pass through the pipes.
  • Poor Water Quality - Is your water rusty or foul smelling?  It's important that you have good water quality in your home for your plumbing and for your health.  Replacing your sink can help correct any corrosive and bacterial elements that might be in your sink.
